__it experience

During my work as student and researcher I gathered nine years of experience in administration, software design and development (e.g. C, C++, Fortran, Shell-Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, IDL, NCL, CDO, Apache Ant) and network integration and design (e.g. DNS, NIS, Samba, NFS, FTP, VPN, Apache, Nginx, Rsync, Sendmail, Exim, Nagios, Puppet, MySQL, Sun Grid Engine) on various operating systems (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, SUSE Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Solaris) and virtualization environments (VirtualBox, QEMU, KVM, VMWare, Wine). I have experience with multiple development and build environments (e.g. vi, Eclipse, Emacs, NetBeans) and with various source code revision management tools (e.g. Git, Subversion, CVS, RCS, Redmine, GitHub). I am used to work and participate in interdisciplinary and multinational teams concentrating on various topics. I am a fast learner with strong problem analysis and triage skills and love to gain and maintain a deep technical knowledge.
